Abstract:
Bologna process of creating the European Higher Education Area has forced changes in teaching methodology. Students have to become learners and so their roles have to be transformed into active thinkers better than passive listeners. In this new educational environment, teachers have to turn into guides who lead learners to relevant information, helping them to find and use it, in order to acquire the knowledge and the expected skills.

In this sense, an appropriate use of Information and Communication Technology is crucial. As one can see in this work, a good combination of presentations developed by the teacher with the aid of a Computer Algebra System (CAS), together with the use of a Course Management System (CMS) provides many improvements for this actual trend in teaching Mathematics in Engineering. Among these ones, relevant aspects for this new metodology as self-lerning or control of learners’ academic work are garantized.

An example of an own presentation will be shown and, in view of it, the achivements will be describe in detail.

Moreover, several more conclusions will be given as a result of this experience of blended-learning which is being developed at the University of Castilla-La Mancha.
