Abstract:
A great change in the architectural representation was the possibility of creating models with realistic representation; this allowed foreseeing problems in the space, to see the shape of the building from any point of view, to prove materials, etc.
A 3D printer is a machine capable of generating impressions on designs in in three dimensions and in different materials such as mud, powder, plastic and some metals. It can be creating volumetric pieces only by designing them on a computer.
In this investigation, our objectives are to see the use of the 3D printers in the construction area. The principal aim is to study the 3D impressions and the new materials used to make the volumetric pieces.
The methodology, will also try to identify the problems that the project presentation with 3D printers imply. We will make several essays and show how it works.
It is known, that the world of the 3D impression is advancing very much in all the professional areas. We will see the results of our research.
Our conclusions will help us in our way to teach how to use the printers 3D at university in a professional way. Our conclusion will help us to select which materials will work better with the 3D printers.
In the United States, they are already being used in Schools and Universities, being advanced to a trend that, according to the report NMC Horizon 2015, it will be adopted on a generalized way in higher education in a four and five year-period.
We want to make a special mention to the world of education. In the Escuela Técnica Superior de Edificación at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, we want to promote education of the Architectural Drawing by using these methodsKeywords:
Educational innovations, new technologies, education in the university, 3D impression.
