Abstract:
In this paper we want to highlight the results of an exploratory survey on the training needs of Italian teachers to teach students with upper limb disabilities. The survey, conducted through a questionnaire called “Questionnaire to detect teachers’needs” is developed within the Erasmus + project “European diversity design for inclusive education” EURODDIP_E, co-financed by the European Union, which involves Belgium, Italy, Portugal and Spain. The questionnaire was administered through an electronic work form, through the Google Drive storage service. The study involves a sample consisting of 232 teachers, all Italian nationals, 165 women and 63 men responded and 41% of them are between 45 and 55 years old and 99.6% of them teach in state schools. The survey collects, interprets and disseminates data on the training of teachers, also with respect to the use of technologies to support learning and performing tasks in the presence of students with disabilities of the upper limbs. Attention was paid in particular to the request of teachers of all levels of school, of digital devices that facilitate the teaching-learning process in the presence of students with disabilities. The results of survey constituted the prerequisite for the development and implementation of training courses for teachers in the field of disabilities and the drafting of protocols and Guideline have been created for the detection of capacities of inclusion students in the school field, this will allow you to apply a flexible and open method, since it allows you to take into account the characteristics of the individual and the changes that occur in different learning situations, paying particular attention to the following objectives: provide a tool to detect the skills of each student involved in the teaching-learning process; enable a common language that facilitates a unified method of action; strengthen teamwork, since all people interested and directly involved with the student should be able to insert or extract information. Keywords:
