Abstract:
The fast development of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) aimed to support the teaching and learning processes has led to expand the supply of mobile applications with pedagogical approach, inserted in the dynamics of mobile learning. This leads to the need of exploring how students are using web classroom application in their learning processes.
Therefore, the aim of this research is to examine the use of web classroom application in undergraduates of Medellin. This was conducted through an exploratory research that involved the collection of information through a qualitative instrument constructed from the information needs identified in the theoretical framework. The applied instrument was a semi-structured survey to undergraduate students.
Among the results, it was observed that the use of web classroom application improves the creative and collaborative abilities through a greater access to information in asynchronously way. Furthermore, there is a better interaction between students, through the various tools available. On the other hand, there is a greater preference for free and Spanish language applications.Keywords:
