THE ROLE OF TUTOR IN RUSSIAN INSTITUTION OF HIGHER EDUCATION AND HIS INTERACTION WITH FOREIGN STUDENTS

Abstract:
The article deals with fields of tutor’s work and function in modern Russian high school. The significance of tutor in a social-educational system is shown on the example of interacting between teacher of Russian as a foreign language and preparatory faculty’s students on different levels of education. As it is known, adaptation and acculturation of foreign students directly depends on such communication. The research is aimed at characterizing the features of tutor’s work who deals with the foreigners and description of ways of interacting with students.
The authors summarize the experience of class and non-class work of tutors of Kazan (Volga region) Federal University. The problems which tutors of foreign groups face and the ways of solving them, the necessity of taking into consideration the national specificity of foreigners are analyzed.
In the course of article preparation the main method used was observation, which includes interpretation, generalization and classification of analyzed material. More than that, according to the survey of practicing educators in the university the tutor is considered to be a senior helper, organizer, informer and intercultural conductor.
During the research the authors came to the conclusion that it is necessary to add a special discipline dealing with tutor work into the future teachers of Russian as a foreign language preparation plan. The basic term in this discipline is “tolerant interaction” with foreign students. The study is supposed to investigate current difficulties faced by the tutors on the concrete examples and finding possible ways of their solution.Keywords:
