Abstract:
Interest in the media as resource centers has increased gradually and significantly in recent years, through research developed from different disciplines and institutions. Our research group has developed a project to contribute to the development of patterns of school media library centers and training resources geared to the demands posed by modern society (eg, new realities arising from coexistence and cultural syncretism, sustainable development and environmental stewardship).
Communication we present research that shows this is an interdisciplinary project to develop strategies both in the field of education across formal and informal. In this sense, the project assumes the challenge of combining the school media library center as a core resource to plan and promote joint planning and environmental stewardship, innovative services and primary children of Castilla and Leon, as a significant contribution.

To achieve these goals is a methodology that combines qualitative and quantitative tools sequenced in two phases per year. The first focuses on the development of a questionnaire to a representative sample of schools of public ownership of Castile and Leon. The results provide a renewed vision of resources (library, technology, learning, etc..) And its application across the curriculum. The second phase will complete the picture for the quantitative and qualitative analysis. This phase will be conducted in-depth interviews and discussion groups to reflect on the results.

Besides the above information during the development of the research we have developed an assessment tool for school libraries that present at the Congress.
