Abstract:
The constant development of technology has been causing society to adapt to new technological aids, because they allow the speeding up, improvement and optimization of activities carried out on a daily basis, making it possible to acquire new knowledge in a more appropriate and dynamic way in society. From this perspective, field research was carried out in which information was obtained, in which the inadequate use given to technological devices in the field of education, work and communication is evident. Through data collection processing, it was learned that 80% of the citizens surveyed possess technological devices such as computers, tablets and smart phones and that 100% of the respondents use technological devices only for communication and social network review. For this reason, the objective of this study proposed to implement training sessions under the name of Community Digital Literacy, which had 60 participants from the Jambelí community in the Machala canton, El Oro province. Ecuador, where participants were trained and sensitized in the use of technological devices. A survey based on the Likert scale was then applied to them to find out what skills and abilities were obtained, as well as the equitable application in entertainment, communication, work and education activities, all at 25% in respect of their use. The conclusion is that this type of conference is feasible for the use, dissemination and awareness of the good use of technologies, and it is important that it be replicated to reach more communities. Keywords:
