Abstract:
European Higher Education Area is bringing about important structural changes in the University system. The adaptation of subject to European Higher Education Area implies the adoption of different education systems to the traditional ones. Subjects are defined in terms of competencies since it is necessary that the students achieve different competencies: one based on the field of study (specific competencies) and others related with some capabilities of the students with the environment (generic competencies), such as relationships, oral and writing communication skills, decision making, team work, at work ethical behaviour, leadershipness, motivation, and so on.
The university learning process is being improved by means of the use of Information and Communication Technologies. Blended learning provides an innovative idea and method for the university teaching, a complementary balance between new and traditional education environments. Different tools are used in the blended learning.
This paper described the development of the blending learning course including objectives, organization, activities, resources and evaluation. The blending learning course of “renewable fuels” was built on claroline platform of Vigo University and google collaboration platform. Both platforms have group tools and services of learning support as forum, wikis or debates.
