Abstract:
Creativity is a very desirable feature in the modern world. On one hand, the school expects creative children, and on the other hand, the school environment does not quite manage the diagnosis and dealing with them. Creative children are often unruly ones who cause behaving problems while achieving high academic results. Thinking divergently they do not always fit in the canons or keys of tests and school assignments. At the same time, psychologists working at schools and psychological and pedagogical counseling centers have a very poor set of standardized tools diagnosing children creativity. School teachers often incorrectly attribute unruly behaviors to inappropriate upbringing or excessive excitement. Parents are also in a difficult situation, as they feel helpless hearing the criticism from teachers. In the undertaken research the author tries to describe the most important difficulties of parents of creative children, in the light of the school situation and the lack of help from institutions and experts. For the research, the author invited parents and teachers at the same time, trying to investigate this problem from both sides.
