Abstract:
In the context of the fourth Industrial Revolution, the exponential growth of connectivity and networking, the competencies related to the design and implementation of cyber security at organizational, local or regional level are fundamental As the Romanian society becomes a knowledge society, an interdependent (networking) and a "smart" society, information and communication technologies play a decisive role in ensuring the success of economic, scientific and even national projects.

Cybersecurity and/or information security management represent an area whose relevance to contemporary organizations is steadily increasing with the level of professionalism required.

In addition to high-level scientific and engineering skills, the labor market requires skills to understand and manage risks, to work efficiently, to estimate the costs and benefits of a particular solution, to interact with mixed teams faced with complex tasks. In this context, the Master degrees program prepares specialists who are capable of high-performance in engineering and innovation in both technical and scientific cybersecurity field.

The "Advanced Cybersecurity” Master Degree Program (AC) provides training on Level 7 of the EQF (Bologna Cycle II - Masters Studies) for students who have completed the Bachelor's degree program in Computer and Information Technology.

The Advanced Cybersecurity Master Degree Program is a good example of a public-private partnership in the field of education. Hosted by "Politechnica University of Bucharest", the program is being developed in partnership with researchers and experts from National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics - ICI Bucharest and with companies who operate in the cyber security field and who hold a private CERT (Computer Emergency Response Team).

The program offers the advanced knowledge in the following major directions:
• advanced cryptography, forensic analysis with dedicated tools
• applications for detecting and monitoring the activities in the information integrated systems
• tools and methods for prevention, detecting and manage the cyberattacks
• the strategic principles of cybersecurity in the organization as a part of system connected at the local, national and regional level.

The design and implementation of the program, a year ago, had a well-defined goal: creating a cyber security specialist for both the government and the private sectors.

In this context, the design of this program was attended by academic staff, researchers, government specialists and private sector experts.

The results can be measured after one year: the number of candidates enrolled in this program doubled in the second session. The program is run according to Bologna Cycle II, so that the second-generation students of the "Advanced Cybersecurity” Program was doubled.
