Abstract:
The legal education development and reforms have been of great concern of universities and profession as the crisis in this sphere may impact society and labour market in many ways. Legal education systems of the Russian Federation, the People’s Republic of China, the European Union and the USA have been analysed. They are based on national law systems which have been developing through centuries and have shaped the ways the law is taught. The studies of legal education have pursued a general, comparative and local contextual approach. The aim of comparative studies has been to analyse system challenges of legal education. In spite of different laws, cultures and social contexts the legal education systems may have shared characteristics and persistent problems. Some of them have been identified in the article with the aim of studying and evaluating their role in legal education development. Reforms in this sphere have been not easy to implement, produced various outcomes and extensive discussion.
