Abstract:
Occupational safety and health program is included in the new Safety and Security Sciences field of study, along with 7 other study programs such as: Forensic Engineering, Protection of Persons and Property, Public Security Services, Police Science Theory, Criminalistics and Criminology, Health and Safety at Work, Emergency Services and Civil Security. Legislatively, there are the crucial topics of the knowledge of the field of study defined, as well as the area and the range of knowledge, skills and competences that profile the graduate - bachelor. The questionnaire survey, which was distributed among occupational safety experts, was used to find out their requirements and opinions on the final bachelor graduate. In this article the comparative analysis was used to compare the requirements of the field of study given by the legislation and the opinions from practice. The results can be used to set up the curriculum in the upcoming accreditation with the aim of creating such a study program so that the graduate would obtain a quality education and fulfills the requirements stated in the graduate profile, but also he/ she would be also ready for practice.
