Abstract:
Safe practical education among students of technical subjects is the first task of every university in achieving its mission. Theoretical outcomes of the issue are presented such as concepts of thinking and literacy of technical, practical skills are habits, including the habits of health protection and safety at work. Student in practical education has the status of an employee and in case of an accident it is considered as a work-related injury. Prevention to ensure safe and quality of training of students in terms of hazards and risk management principles at work must be, therefore, the primary task of educational institution. Specifically, in the workrooms the safety of technical equipment means not only the safety of machine tools, but also the way employees or students work with it, not excluding service reliability. Article on the example of centre lathe demonstrates the application of risk analysis methods using comprehensive network diagram method and complex point method. There were considered microclimatic conditions (temperature, humidity), light intensity and noise level in the workroom, which as negative factors contributing to the accident, when the limit values of these factors are not met. Article also provides practical suggestions how to improve and enhance safety in practical training workrooms.
