Abstract:
The day that Erasmus program started in Turkey in 2004 Anadolu University was one of the first fifteen universities in Turkey to be a participant in the program. Music department in Anadolu University started to use the program in 2006. The department is extending its partners almost every month. That means students and teaching staff have many options to exchange and explore different educational systems and cultures. Learning about other countries’ educational systems may have many effects on teaching staff. In other words, this experience can change or effect teachers’ approach to education.

From the starting year of 2006 till now many teaching staff from music department went to many countries with the Erasmus Teaching staff Exchange program. This paper will present their experiences and effects on music teachers in Anadolu University Music Department. The paper will conduct a survey with all the teachers who used Erasmus Teaching Staff Exchange Program and will present how it did effect on their teaching in the long term. As a result of this research will show how effective is Erasmus Teaching Staff Exchange program on Anadolu University Music Department teachers.
