Abstract:
Learning for decision-making is a complex process for educators. In the business field, students lack the training and experience to be able to effectively develop decision-making. That is why students, instead of learning using critical thinking, often focus their learning on tools and procedures, without really understanding the philosophy. This poses a dilemma for the instructor, since in decision-making, it is much more important to understand the philosophy of the actions than the actions themselves.
The use of games for learning is increasingly common in classrooms and is a way to considerably increase student motivation. However, the game must be focused in order to boost not only motivation but also the expected learning.
In this article, we present the bases of the multidisciplinary and integrative development project that we are carrying out at the Universitat Politècnica de València to create a game in order to learn the concepts or procedures of decision-making in a business context. Keywords:
