Abstract:
During the COVID-19 pandemic, distance learning problems were identified by teachers in practice. They consider the passivity of most students in teaching and maintaining their attention to be the biggest negative. It is necessary to look for innovative methods and forms that increase the activity of students and at the same time have a strong motivational potential. For these reasons, it has become our primary goal to focus the training of future teachers on the possibilities of implementing freeware and shareware applications in chemistry teaching. Using the LearningApps and Flippity applications, separate activities and escape games were compiled and verified at primary and secondary schools. The paper will present two didactic games (Penteto and an escape game on the topic of vitamins) and their variations, including a method sheet for teacher. At the beginning and end of the lesson, students filled out a prediction card. Based on interviews with teachers, increased implementation and motivation of students was recorded after the implementation of the prepared didactic games in teaching. Pupils learned to work systematically and became responsible for their learning. Immediate feedback made it easier for students to consolidate concepts. The game was found to have a positive effect on the permanence and depth of the acquired knowledge. The possibility of running the game several times helped to take into account the individual needs and abilities of the students.
