Abstract:
The rapid development of information and communication technologies is apparent in the mobile devices market. In the era of desktop computers, a single computer was able to fulfill all user needs. Nowadays, however, it is mobile devices that reflect the latest trends in information technology. The rapid development of information and communication technologies has an impact not only on business and services, but also on education. The dynamic development of modern technologies leads to increased requirements being placed on new forms on instruction.

The paper titled “Use of Selected Mobile Devices in Primary Education” is aimed at the use of modern smart technology (smartphones, tablets) in instruction. Moreover, it also presents previous experience with their use in instruction. Based on a number of researches, this paper not only presents possible solutions, but also introduces methodologies of instruction, focusing on their possible applications. The primary focus of this paper, however, is freely available programs suitable for tablet-based instruction, which can be used by both students and teachers. The research part of the paper is aimed at the integration of mobile technologies into elementary school instruction.
