Abstract:
The main purpose of vocational education in Albania is "development of personality of students to live in accord with the world around them and prepare them for employment in professional activities ...” In order to achieve this, vocational schools creates opportunities for students to develop professional competence. They provide support to become familiar with safety rules and preserve the environment in accordance with international standards. During the years of education in school, the student should be familiar with contemporary technologies and technological processes related to relevant professional qualifications also. Installation and maintenance of photovoltaic panels by high school students, will facilitate the overall formation of the students, raise their awareness on the problem of environmental protection, and development of alternative energy sources. Given these goals, as well as its geographical location and climatic conditions in Albania, it is necessary to introduce photovoltaic systems to students. Theoretical and practical knowledge of the key concepts to assemble and maintain photovoltaic systems should be transmitted to them.
The main objective of this paper is to develop a guideline of the steps to follow during theoretical and practical sessions on the construction and installation of a photovoltaic system under laboratory conditions. We do strongly believe that this document designed from our experience and from others experiences as well, will be to great support to the instructors or lectures that will develop the courses.Keywords:
