Abstract:
In the current business context, the development of distinctive competencies and skills are essential to increase the chances of growth within a company. That is why students in the Master's programs receive practical and applied training so that in the future they can manage and lead areas of the company.

In this regard, the methodological approach applied to develop leadership competencies is based on a series of phases that begin with the description of a widely disseminated theoretical model that defines the main categories of the motivations of people within a team. Students participate actively and, based on their professional experience, share with their peers and make a first conceptual approach to these theoretical categories. This entire process is essential since collaborative work and adequate communication are encouraged to establish a high-performance working environment.

Once the concepts have been assimilated, they advance to the next phase where these three concepts are worked in detail, which allows students to rationalize them and experiment with them in a certain business environment.

For this, it has been seen convenient to develop three exercises, each exercise has a different approach depending on the category to be explored and requires a different work approach:
1. Transcendent motivations: The students, working in groups, define the transcendent vision of their workgroup. This allows them to acquire an approach to the key concepts of the company's philosophy and how to transfer it to their working environment with appropriate motivation and leadership techniques.
2. Extrinsic motivations: The students, working in groups, prepare the discussion of topics in search of solutions to possible conflicts within a work team in the company.
3. Intrinsic motivations: Students analyze and share their behavioral preferences and what is their impact within a team in the generation of empathy as a source of leadership.

In conclusion, during the development of this course, aspects that are necessary to lead teams and talent in the organization have been worked on, but from different areas and approaches, which is positive for a student of a Master's program, looking for applied training and results within the company.
