Abstract:
Professional technical and vocational education in Chile includes, among its objectives, enabling expedited transit of its students into the world of work. Considering the need of expanding the range of exit options for the students beyond early labor insertion and continuity of higher level studies, a pilot experience is added to the above, in four professional technical schools in the country, which seeks to further develop entrepreneurship competencies in students.

This work collects the first six months of student experience in four professional technical and vocational schools in Chile, considering the implementation of focus groups of young people from ninth to twelfth grade of the four establishments.

The information collected is sought as a contribution to expand this type of initiative, with special attention to the difficulties, learning and favorable points from the perspective of the students at the beginning of their training cycle, as well as of those are finishing their professional technical and vocational education.
