Abstract:
In Web 2.0 people don't use the Internet just to search information but to provide it, making concepts like collective intelligence and collaborative learning with development strategies of mixed competences (learning and personal and social development) emerge. This new usage of the Web implies new competences since each element of the community is a potential contributor of knowledge, responsible for his/her learning and the learning of others.

This project represents the pedagogic experience developed in three classes of the following degrees: Socio-cultural animation, Social Education and Arts and Multimedia, under the course Communication and Information Technologies in Santarem's Higher School. During one semester the students explored 3 tools of website construction 2.0: Google sites, Webnode and Wix. In the end of the semester the students filled out a survey to evaluate this experience and future use of the acquired competences. We can conclude, by studying that students not only desired skills acquired but are fully aware of the importance and application in both professional social role. We can conclude that with the development of this activity students not only demonstrate have acquired the necessary skills to achieve the objectives of the curriculum unit but are fully aware of the importance and application of that skill in both professional and social role by developing activities involving communities, including the digital ones.
