Abstract:
How to improve the quality and the effectiveness of the library training courses? How to meet the needs and expectations of different kinds of the library users – faculty and students?
E-learning seems to be a good solution. This poster illustrates development of the library e-learning platform as a new tool which supports traditional training courses. In theory, one of the most popular open source platforms (including Polish libraries) is the Moodle – Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment. The main part of our poster contains two kinds of online training: basic course and subject training – at that moment we are ready with RefWorks, Ebrary and SciFinder presentations. The authors describe who is using that platform, to whom the new tool in the ML is addressed.
Statistical data and some plans for Moodle developing will be presented.
The study is based on the data and experiences gathered by the Warsaw University of Technology Main Library.
