Abstract:

The report examines a number of good examples in the field of digitalization of literary heritage in the Republic of Bulgaria. Libraries are among the institutions involved in the preservation of this heritage, leading in the process of its digitalization (as in other European countries).

For this purpose, some of the good examples of archival digital collections are presented, both in the large libraries in the country and in the smaller regional ones. The actions of our country regarding the digitalization of literary heritage became more tangible only after its acceptance as a full member of the EU in early 2007. The undisputed leader is the National Library "St. St. Cyril and Methodius”, which has long been working on various European projects in connection with the construction of an information society, providing access to its information resources.
