Abstract:
Education priority of the new millennium in the condition of Slovak Republic is to make more effective and more intensive education in context of sustainable development. Forest Education through the “outdoor classroom“ is becoming a key component in delivering educational Excellence, fostering creativity and innovation, love for nature and sciences, self confidence and social skills. In terms of teaching emphasizes the focus on the development of affective domain. Forest Education emphasizes the dynamic character of natural heritage preservation that is not only natural, economic but also cultural and social dimensions. On the basis of concrete examples from practice the authors point out that the concept of Forest Education is also about making make better connections about the world around us and being physically active.. Understanding of the situation is understood as an inspiration for the European conceptualisation of heritage and education. The paper is focused on concrete examples of possibility to transfer natural heritage in the field of education in secondary school education, but also through the implementation of educational projects in the process of lifelong learning at the hand of realization educational events „in situ“ by methodology of experiental education.
