Abstract:
The introduction and design of the new degrees in Spanish universities under RD 1393/2007 has introduced a novelty, the objectives/competences to be achieved by the students are not only the subjects, but also are included other specific competences (professional, academic, basic, etc.) and generic or transversal competences, and what it is more important, the evaluation of all them. Teachers know how to assess knowledge, but we're not sure how to evaluate the skills and attitudes of students.
More questions that worried the teachers are: In which subjects or modules are each of the competencies reflected in the verification report of the degree evaluated? Which training activities evaluate each competence? Which will be assessed in the Final Project?, is the teacher the adequate person to assess these competencies that are not disciplinary or it is required the involvement of an outside expert? Is there a proper procedure to assess competences?, what would be the appropriate indicators to assess competences?
Some of these questions is what we intend to address in this work in order to have adequate procedures for assessing all the skills listed in any Bachelor Degree.
The teaching/learning process through internet e-learning gives a large platform that allows us, from the knowledge, skills and abilities, to follow the process of the student learning.
For all these reasons we need to look into systems or evaluation strategies using e-learning environments that although they may be more sophisticated, are able to assess students effectively in their ability to search information, their knowledge acquired, their ability to apply knowledge to different circumstances, their ability to reach a successful conclusion from an initial knowledge base, and achieving the necessary skills. Keywords:
