Abstract:
This article analyzes the Internet in a general way and how it should be applied by teachers in the teaching-learning process. A current theoretical framework on Social Media is also presented. In this paper the Social Media are understood as: Blogs, Microblogs, Online Communication and Social Networking. Every technology discussed in this study is shown as an important support tool for students in their educational process. Thereby is pointed out how teachers should use the Social Media to manage relevant contents in class and to support a meaningful communication between students and with themselves. The technology development has changed our culture and therefore the strategies for teaching and learning have been also improved. In this way the new learning skills as well as the new paradigm for teaching are describe on this paper.
