Abstract:
“Analysis of School Administrators’ Attitudes towards Technology” by Helvacı (2008) was applied according to the views of formal primary school administrators. Regarding their attitudes to technology, the school administrators were found to have positive attitudes on the dimensions of “following technology”; “using internet”; “being optimist about technology”. On the other hand, in a research named “Attitudes of High school Science Teachers towards Technology”, by İspir, Furkan and Çitil (2007), it was determined that in Kahramanmaraş, high school science teachers have positive attitudes towards technology. A research by Keleş (2009) on the level of showing transformational leadership qualities of primary school administrators, it was found that the dimension in which the administrators were seen most successful was ideal effect, but the one in which they were least successful was inspiring motivation. On the other hand, in his research, Çetiner (2008) determined a significant difference between teachers depending on variables of seniority and field. Moreover, according to a research applied in Technical High Schools by Çelik and Eryılmaz (2006), school administrators “seldom” show transformational leadership qualities, but “often” show the behaviors regarding the dimension of idealized effect of transformational leadership. In a research applied in Ankara by Koçak (2006), it was found that there is a meaningful correlation between job satisfaction and transformational leadership qualities of school administrators.
