Abstract:
Using an on line questionaire, the aim of the paper is to capture the students perceptions from an East European country concerning the Erasmus mobility program.
The students selected for the questionaire are from an East European country, more exactly from Romania, Transilvania region. Their home university is one of the most important in Romania with a multicultural environment.
This questionnaire was meant to find out the interest of the students in mobility programmes. There were some general questions about: age, gender, study level, the degree programme and then specific questions about them knowlegde about ERASMUS mobility programme, what they know about it, of they get enough information about it, if they have an erasmus mobility experience, and others.
The results show the students high apetite for traveling and studying in an other university abroad taking into consideration the linguistic advantages but also the financial constrains of living abroad.
Further, we intend to extend the sample to other Romanian universities and other East European Universities to perform comparative studies of student perceptions about Erasmus mobility program. Keywords:
students, mobilities, perception.
