Abstract:
The present paper aims to explore scientific productivity and co-authorship networks of organization and management scholars from public higher education institutions in the South East Europe (SEE). The final sample in our study consists of 158 scholars and junior faculty members from five SEE countries (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Slovenia, and Serbia) which all together published 1244 papers indexed in Web of Science (WoS) citation database from 1999 to 2018. The total number of published articles cited in the WoS is used as a measure of scholars' scientific productivity. Social Network Analysis (SNA) was performed in order to examine interaction patterns between scholars from the sample. Our preliminary findings confirm that there is a growing tendency of the co-authored papers among scholars from the sample. However, the co-authorship networks are still mostly composed of isolated groups and collaboration between scholars from different institutions and countries is relatively weak.
