Abstract:
The survey has been realised within KEGA Project 031-035 STU-4/2010: "Models of project-based learning at secondary vocational schools". The aim of the survey was to find out pupils’ reactions towards the change of education quality when an interactive board is implemented during the education. The interactive board is a modern educational tool which is used also within project-based learning at secondary vocational schools in Slovakia. We assumed that the communication when using the interactive board will be flexible and attractive for students as well as the pupils will find the interactive board to be a mean for improving the educational processes. During the survey, the following methods were used:
• content analysis method – the analysis of documents regarding effective work with the interactive board
• questionnaire – pupils’ opinions on the implementation of the interactive board, as a communication technology, within project-based learning at secondary vocational schools in Slovakia
• statistics – statistical interpretation of results, analysis and interpretation of results as a quantitative analysis (percentage, average values) and qualitative analysis (analysis, synthesis, generalisation)
80 pupils of secondary vocational school in Považská Bystrica (Slovakia) participated in the survey. As a result, we suggested to elaborate the projects within professional subjects according to the curriculum of study programs with the implementation of the interactive boards as well as to monitor the influence of communication technologies on education quality.
