Abstract:
This scoping review explores the impact of technology integration on educational leadership practices in South African schools. A search of the Scopus database identified 12 papers, with 10 included for analysis after exclusions for language and duplication. The review examines how technology influences leadership roles, strategies for integration, and the challenges of digital adoption. Findings reveal that technology enhances administrative efficiency, supports professional development, and promotes pupil engagement. However, barriers such as limited resources, digital divides, and inadequate skills hinder effective implementation. The review identifies gaps in understanding long-term impacts and emphasises the need for professional development and equitable access strategies. It offers insights for leaders, policymakers, and educators on leveraging technology for improved leadership and learning outcomes. Additionally, the study highlights the importance of fostering a culture of continuous learning and adaptability among educational leaders to effectively navigate the evolving technological landscape. By addressing these challenges, schools can better harness technology to drive innovation and enhance overall educational quality. Keywords:
