Abstract:
Education has always been and is the main direction that significantly determines the development and general success of a country. At any stage of human development and at any age, education has greater impact according to its specificity and role. While the early years education is a fundamental stage for child, human development and its main emphasis is based on human factor – the maximum involvement of a teacher. School education is the stage of development when along with the human factor, technology has taken an important place in the modern education system. COVID-19 pandemics has shown, the necessity and importance of inclusion of the digital technologies into the educational processes in terms of the world development and growing significance of technology. The integration of technology into the education system was the only way to provide and support the irreversible processes of development. In the 21st century, the question of how harmful or beneficial the use of digital technologies and gadgets is for people, and especially for children, has gained in relevance.

There are two questions on the agenda that relate to child development and health:
1) Does the use of technological devices on this scale harm the child's health? and
2) whether banning of technology will hinder the child's development and integration into modern life?

The purpose of our research was to study the technological factor in school education, the current situation in private and public schools, the analysis of the deliverables and the prediction of the future development perspective in Georgian, particularly in Ajara A.R.

Private and public schools of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara has been selected as the target audience of the research. The schools have been studied to find out which technological devices and software are integrated into the teaching process and their use in the classes; whether there are any differences between the level of integration of the technological devices into the process of learning/teaching at public and private schools; which school subjects involve the technological devices to the largest extent, and the technological devices in the process of learning and the teachers’ competences.

The research is based on quantitative and qualitative research methods, among them study of the documentation, survey, in-depth interviews and observation. The research has been conducted using an interdisciplinary methodology, the purpose of which was a multifaceted analysis of the outcomes. The results of the research and analysis are classified by various indicators and respective conclusions and recommendations are made.
