Abstract:
Rapidly developing technology also brings many innovations to facilitate human life. With each passing day, technological innovation and applications finding place in our lives cause changes in our personal habits and lifestyles. It’s an undeniable fact that preferring individualistically and having an indispensable place in the lives of so many of us these applications present itself in business environment and cause great changes.
Establishments, who do not intend to fall behind their rivals and accommodate changing environment have to prosecute the innovations closely. Keeping pace with the change is only possible by adopting changing work methods. In today's business world, it is inferred that operation and process are replaced by online processes by changing in lots of subjects; from supply-chain management to customer relations, business and training. The applications, which are formed and accelerated by technology and aimed to enhance the competitiveness, stand out in ''training'' as well as any other subject.
Today, individuals are in need of accession to information in anytime and anywhere with the effects of changing technological habits. The establishments, aiming to make their employees acquire necessary qualifications and to meet their demands, have headed for e-learning trainings so as to access the innovations in the most quickly way. Each organisation, knowing contribution of training to performance, are making more and more effort each passing day and are including e-learning applications for their employees and especially manager training.
This study aims to investigate e-learning as a method, which is used in manager training and determining the aspects of the individuals, who get trained by this method. In this study shortly manager definition, reasons for manager training, purposes for training and methods in manager training are explained, as the method for manager training e-learning is approached. Emphasizing on the e-learning notion, method’s strong and weak points are classified and as a training method preferring the reasons for e-learning are emphasized.
For this reason managers who are trained by e-learnig are examined by a quantitative research. Whether managers have chosen e-learning as a training method or not and comparing conventional methods qualifications that e-learning has are tried to determine in the study. Analyzing answers to questions statistically, evaluating the findings the study finishes by paraphrasing the results.Keywords:
