Abstract:
Actually, new methods are introduced to understand and simulate industrial processes to help students in their comprehension and clarify their use. The objective of this paper is to explain the experience and knowledge in a group of third course student’s Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering at Girona University (UdG) with the cooperation and experiences of Pablo Olivade University from Sevilla.

This simulation process started with the senior chemistry teachers’ experiences and knowledge of their live working at the UdG. In this process teacher’s regeneration it was introduced a new simulation programmed with a java application (JAR).

The advantage of this kind of programmed process (JAR) in front of commercial simulators ones, are that a JAR simulator is concentrated in a specific chemistry process and it make easy the understanding for the students. Also all the efforts are concentrated to understand the industrial process to analyze.

The proposed experiences, described in this presentation are two: Simple distillation mixing ethanol-water and experience in an absorption process.

Our experiences, process and results of these innovative method is described in the presentation. This allows to considerably increase the number of experiments to be performed and to understand the influence of the operating variables on the result obtained and the behavior of the equipment.
