KEY COMPONENTS OF MEDIA COMPETENCE OF THE FUTURE EDUCATION MANAGER IN THE DIGITAL EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT OF THE UNIVERSITY

Abstract:
The development of media competence in the digital educational environment is considered an important means of solving problems in higher education and adequate functioning for both experienced teachers and new generations of education managers.
The author's design of the essential component composition of the media competence of future education managers is a set of formed personal qualities (critical thinking; creative activity; motivation, operational readiness, communicative reflection) and media competencies (digital literacy; interpretation and generation of media content; digital awareness), which predetermines professional motivational - value aspirations for the use of media information, media resources, media technologies in a digital educational environment.
The purpose of this article is to present experimental results on the study of the relationship between professionally significant personal qualities and key media competencies of future education teachers.
The research sample included master students of the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai in Almaty and the University of Friendship of Peoples named after academic Kuatbekov, Shymkent.
Research methods: an author's questionnaire for diagnosing media competence; questionnaire of communicative reflection; technique "critical analysis" by J. Barrett; the method of finding logical errors by M. Cheifetz; A. Mekhrabian's motivation test; Freiburg multivariate personality questionnaire.
According to the test results, the initial level of media competence, skills in working with media texts and the ability to conduct media discussions were identified, levels of achievement motivation, communicative reflection, critical thinking, flexibility in behavior and thinking were identified.
At the research stage, author's elective courses were implemented: "Digital etiquette" and "Fundamentals of the formation of media competence".
The experimental study carried out allowed us to conclude that the media competence of the future manager of education is a significant personal neoplasm that does not arise spontaneously, but depends on the targeted actions of the subjects of the educational process.
