Abstract:
This research was an experimental research which aimed to investigate 1) the differences between pre-test and post-test scores of students’ learning achievements, 2) compared students’ learning achievements based on different numbers of seating (1 person, 2 person, or 3 person), and 3) compared students’ learning achievements based on heterogeneous gender group seating (male-male, female-female, and male-female seating) in using computer for word processing software. The population of this study was 171 primary school students ranging from the fifth grade to the sixth grade of a school in Prathumthani province, Thailand. The total 47 of sample size was selected based on purposive sampling with 28 students on fifth grade and 19 students on sixth grade. For data collection, the researcher created questionnaire items in order to measure the student’s learning achievements before and after the learning experience from the entire experiment group in using computer for word processing software. The outcomes of pre-test and post-test scores were compared and analyzed. The research’s results indicated that individual seating and group seating seemed to reveal higher learning’s achievements than couple seating. Moreover, based on gender group seating, heterogeneous gender group seating was likely to show higher learning achievements for students in using computer for word processing software. Keywords:
