Abstract:
Recent developments in the field of Augmented Reality (AR) technology have led to a renewed interest in various creative industries. AR is the integration of virtual objects and physical world for generating a digitally composite view. The users are able to view and interact with the AR applications effectively by computer or any other electronic devices. The main objective of this study is to simulate the buildings in AR application. In the development process, several Three-Dimensional (3D) modelling software such as Blender or other 3D software were used to create 3D buildings. Subsequently, AR application was built by Unity3D and Vuforia to generate the AR markers and then to attach in the book. The main outcome from this study is to produce an AR book in order to introduce the buildings in Malaysia, especially the mosques in Kelantan state. In addition, the significant output from this study is to enhance the reading and learning experiences of the public. This book can be used as a learning material which helping readers to learn the Malaysian buildings better than only with traditional books. Also, the readers will gain a better understanding for the design of buildings through the AR application.
