Abstract:
As far as Classroom Response System (CRS) is concerned, much discussion has been focused on the pedagogical issues and the effective use of the system to generate optimal learning outcome. On the other hand, there are not many discussion that address the logistic issues of managing CRS. For various reasons, it may not be feasible for many colleges and universities to make their students to pay for the clickers (or handheld devises) on their own. Consequently, a lot of lecturers or instructors, though see the merits of using CRS, have been hesitant and shy away from trying out the system because of the potential logistical issues that have to deal with. Therefore, in order to promote the use of CRS, these logistical issues have to be resolved.
In this talk, I will share my thought and experience in managing the CRS, in particular the handling and distribution of the clickers to students.
