Abstract:
The purpose of this research was the study of happiness and joy in status of primary schools in Tehran-Iran. This study was an applied research, quantitative and qualitative study (in terms of type of data) and the survey (based on implementation). The population consisted of all teachers and principals in Tehran more than 18,990 people. The sample size was determined 377 people who were selected according to krejcie and Morgan’s sampling table. Cluster accidental sampling was used. A researcher made a questionnaire to collect required data which its validity was approved by experts and pilot study and its reliability was determined by cronbach' Alpha test to be 0/97. The gathered data were described and analyzed in two levels of descriptive statistics including frequency and percent; and analytical statistics including factor analisis and chi-square test. By reviewing relevant literature, 66 components and 4 factors (physical, social-emotional, individual and training) were determined as effective factors. Finding indicated, in status from respondents' points of view, studied schools, paid little attention to all four factors which are important in creating happiness and joy.These factors are: social-emotional 0/44, physical 0/49, individual 0/66 and training 0/68 (respectively). To improve the present situation, some suggestions consisted of four sections were proposed.
