Abstract:
This paper reports on the outcomes of a pre-college program designed for prospective students, aiming to engage high school students before their official enrollment.

The primary goal of the program is to allow students:
1) to experience learning methods they will encounter in college,
2) to build connections with future peers, and
3) to become familiar with the college's ICT (Information and Communication Technology) environment and facilities.

Through an analysis of student engagement during the classes and the results of student surveys, this study provides insights into how pre-college programs can facilitate a smoother transition into higher education.

The paper highlights the differences in ICT literacy among high school students and analyzes their reactions to using ICT in college, including writing emails, using LMS (Learning Management Systems), operating video conferencing tools, and conducting electronic surveys.

Findings suggest that students who participated in the program exhibited increased confidence in handling college coursework, a greater sense of belonging, and enhanced familiarity with the college setting.

These outcomes underscore the potential benefits of high school-college collaboration programs in preparing students for the challenges and opportunities of higher education.
