Abstract:
The most urgent issue is to strengthen entrepreneurship education, which is the ability to create new things in addition to having generic skills. We have provided various types of entrepreneurship education through project-based learning, but most of them have focused on manufacturing or stimulated the mindset through lectures by entrepreneurs and business managers. Therefore, we are developing entrepreneurship education as a personal matter.
In this paper, we describe the basic design of entrepreneurship education to stimulate one's own mind by oneself.
The entrepreneurship education we propose is as follows. In the first year of the high school program, students are introduced to the basics of entrepreneurship and intrepreneurship, and are then given a five-year action plan based on their own dreams and desires and the reasons why they have chosen their career paths. In the second year, students reflect on their own actions during the year, design their future, including their choice of career path, and make a more concrete action plan toward that end. Based on this, the third year is reviewed, and in the fourth year, the first year of college, the students actually select their career paths and take action. In the second year of college, students make a plan to generate the money they will need for their own lifetime and to realize their dreams. The proposed education is characterized by linking the students' dreams and desires, and fostering entrepreneurship by stimulating their mindsets in conjunction with their own careers. In addition, by confronting their own dreams each year, the students are more oriented toward the process of making their dreams come true. This allows students to think about entrepreneurship as their own personal matter.
In a student survey after the class, students stated that "I was able to clarify what I have to do," "I was able to understand my future career path," "I realized how little I had thought about it," "It was a good opportunity to consider multiple options," "I was able to reconfirm what I want to do," and so on. There were many comments that encouraged students to be proactive. Keywords:
