Abstract:
While closely collaborating with their collaborators from the TV, Film and Drama School at Inland Norway University, the authors of this study set out to undertake a research study on the value of global cooperation and innovation. The authors of this article have a history of working with Baturu and the China Women Film Festival and have built a network with them. This partnership aims to provide TV School students with the chance to develop their human rights-related documentaries, bringing together students from China and Norway from two different parts of the world to collaborate on a single project. Equality, democratization, and solidarity are critical components of an academic environment. These students have produced more than 50 films that have been screened at the Norwegian Embassy in Beijing and the TV School in Lillehammer, Norway. Through its China Meets Lillehammer initiative, Inland Norway University and China hope to work together and advance global peace. Chinese students are given a significant platform to voice their demands on equality, LGBTQ rights, and minority rights while our students are learning how to interact with overseas students. These students get the chance to think globally and locally through this program. In this study, the following research issues were studied and discussed:
• The importance of creative work and the methodologies employed for this study's evaluation.
• The effectiveness of a novel new exam method where students work together with the China Women Film Festival.
• An external examiner from a different academic discipline providing feedback and criticism on their films.
• After observing a role play, a student observer would supervise the writing of a report or an article.
• A goal-oriented approach in which students' films from "Lillehammer meets China" from 2018 to 2023 will be gathered and screened at the Baturu Film Festival in fall 2023 as well as Lillehammer.
In this article, we go in-depth about international collaboration and how students may benefit from it. This article has covered how students' reflections on their own and other students' work, their experiences with the creative process, and how these techniques encourage creativity in them. Additionally, qualitative research data from students who provided feedback on the methodology and the course were evaluated. Keywords:
