INTEGRATION OF AI COURSES IN MOROCCAN UNIVERSITIES: ENRICHED RESOURCES FOR EFFECTIVE LEARNING AND ENGAGEMENT

Abstract:
Artificial intelligence (AI) is a rapidly grozing field with application in many different industries. As AI become more prevalent it is important for educational institutions to prepare students for the future by providing them with effective learning experience.

In order to adapt to the transformative impact of artificial intelligence (AI) in Morocco and prepare students for the challenges of the future, the Minister of Higher Education is actively considering the integration of specialized AI modules into the university curriculum. This initiative seeks to equip universities with courses specifically tailored to AI, with the aim of nurturing a competent workforce proficient in this rapidly evolving domain.

This work will explore how student in Morocco are introduced to AI courses using Enriched resources.
In traditional approach to teaching artificial intelligence courses, digital resources were used to provide students with essential theoretical knowledge. However, it was recognized that their resources needed to be enhanced to promote comprehension understanding and student engagement.

As result, a project was lunched to convert the traditional digital resources to enriched learning experience.

Two groups were formed to assess the effectiveness of the enriched resources compared to the traditional digital format. The first group received the course material in the standard digital format, while the second group was provided with the enriched resources. The expanded resources included interactive element, practical examples, case studies and real-world problem application of Ai with the aim of promoting deeper understanding and active participation.

To evaluate the impact of the enriched resources we used the analysis of variance (ANOVA) technique and compared the performance understanding and engagement of both groups.

Results showed that the group exposed to the enriched resources showed significantly higher levels of understanding and engagement compared to the group exposed to the traditional digital format. The expanded resources enabled a more interactive and immersive learning experiences, allowing students to connect theoretical concepts with practical application.
