Abstract:
One of the most important factors of success is the students’ studying with determination towards their target. In order to achieve this, students are accustomed to gain the habit of studying. Some of the studying habits such as studying lessons regularly, motivating himself towards the courses he is bored of, concentrating on the courses in which he is less interested, using the time accurately at the time of studying, planning and organizing how to study without being affected by the psychological mood he is in, are of importance to gain the habit of studying. One of the most important factors to gain the studying habit on the basis of success and failure is the use of these above-mentioned concerns. The purpose of this research is to identify the students' perceptions and their studying habits. By using the method of conceptual science in qualitative research, seven open-ended questions are going to be answered in order to find out the studying habits of the students and their conceptions related to their studies. For this survey, 15 high school students participated in, and the findings of the survey came to a conclusion with content analysis.
Some of the results of this survey are as follows;
1- Students generally identify their success by getting grades from the courses they participated in.
2- Students, who do not have specific goals and schedules for studying, do not study with determination and they state that there is no use for schedules.
3- External factors such as not loving the teacher, not interested in the subject matter and not finding the appropriate friend at school affect the internal motivation
