Abstract:
This article examines the awareness and relationship of foreign language students to literacy, as well as the readiness of teachers to train future foreign language speakers, and describes the positive impact of the introduction of literature on the teaching of foreign languages.The article elaborates on the application of the requirement to develop, in addition to the quality of skills such as listening, reading, speaking, and writing, a sense of cultural connotations involving the geography, history, traditions, customs, literature, arts, lifestyles, values, and norms of behavior of foreign countries. This is done from the perspective of practical foreign language teaching. The essay addresses the necessity to consider both the culture conveyed in the language and the development of pupils' language skills in a foreign language.The article discusses the value of increasing students' literacy levels and the value of include literature in the process of teaching foreign languages. It addresses how using literature in foreign language instruction has been found to be very helpful in helping students learn the language and offers some useful advice for teachers on how to properly introduce literature and employ teaching strategies when teaching foreign languages.
