Abstract:
Team programming project is a subject conducted at the Lublin University of Technology in a two-semester cycle. This is one of those subjects where students can combine all the knowledge gained throughout the course of study. They can also pursue their interests and hobbies. Very often the topics of highly innovative projects are chosen. Including students in creation and testing of very modern solutions has now become a trend in teaching at the Institute of Computer Science of the Lublin University of Technology. Students using their already acquired skills as well as natural curiosity and hobby interests decide on an innovative subject of work. These are often seemingly easy, but in fact quite complicated, complex and even difficult IT projects. The IT is here extended to include automation, controlling issues related to biometrics, the use of modern technologies, etc. The article describes a few selected projects implemented by students. Students, working in the chosen methodology of software development, were tasked (under the supervision of the leading teacher) to select the appropriate technology, devices, carry out the testing phase, draw conclusions, improve and ultimately lead the final product to the early implementation phase.
