Abstract:
The new vocational education and training system in Hungary places great emphasis on digitalisation. In the era of digitalisation, the demands on the workforce are constantly changing, and the knowledge of using digital tools is no longer an advantage but a basic requirement, to which vocational education and training must adapt. The acquisition of digital skills is also a basic requirement in vocational education and training. At the same time, the new system places greater emphasis on the acquisition of practical skills. These two can cause problems in the field of vocational training. On the one hand, schools do not always have the necessary tools to acquire the necessary digital competences, and often neither do the companies involved in the practical training of students. This can happen relatively easily in a field such as logistics. Logistics technician training was launched two years ago in Hungary under the new vocational training framework. In this paper, we present the digital competences required, with a focus on IT. We will address the difficulties encountered in the last two years of education: from the lack of competence of the students to the problems of the educational infrastructure.
