Abstract:
This work is devoted to algorithms for simulation of deterministic and random signals and, in particular, their software implementation, as one of the types of scientific work within the framework of the educational process. The novelty of this approach is that the studies used high-precision and high-performance algorithms for simulation in the original basis within the framework of the correlation theory.
In the process of practical implementation of algorithms students solve a number of scientific and technical tasks, such as algorithms' selection, their correctness and accuracy, they research how the settings affect the quality of the generated signal. As the base systems use a harmonic representation, such as the trigonometric system, complex exponential functions, with Hartley, as well as the system of Walsh functions, Vilenkin–Chrestenson and others.
The simulation algorithms in these systems are implemented by students who write original software code at high programming level using simulation environment, e.g. MatLab. The obtained results are validated by calculating values of theoretical, algorithmic, and experimental correlation functions with its graph construction and error estimate.
In the process of the software implementation, it is necessary to meet the requirements of easiness of tuning of the algorithms, achieve the accuracy of playback signals and time simulation. Such work is performed in the framework of the educational process in a form of such an important component in the study of the theory and practice of digital signal processing for the development of real-time systems, it means in research projects carried out by students.
