Abstract:
The education of rescuers and firefighters has a special position in the system of education of the population. The priority of such education is the direct connection of theoretical knowledge and insights in applied practice. Emphasis placed especially on the right habits and skills of the graduates be prepared. Resolving crises in the event of an intervention is often a routine matter for rescuers, who, however, directly endanger the rescued persons as well as themselves in the event of incorrect procedures. In the case of university-educated persons, the presumption of their application in leading positions, such as the team leader, a change of platoon, or a higher managerial position. The article describes the methodology and method of preparation of lower and middle management of fire brigades in the conditions of the Slovak Republic with regard to its education and completed level of education. It proposes new ways and methods of training firefighters in voluntary units, taking into account the real needs of practice. It reflects on the application of teaching and learning methods in the distance form. It points out the possibilities of using e-learning in the conditions of theoretical education and examination.
