Abstract:
In the article it is revealed that Industry 4.0 presents new requirements to the education system, including the formation of the ability to learn throughout life, which can be interpreted as cognitive independence. The means of formation cognitive independence is the independent work of students. In the conditions of informatization, the independent work of students acquires new features: technological effectiveness, instrumentality, multimedia, reliance on subject experience and individual characteristics of students, the ability to plan and reflect the learning activity, the objectivity of its control and self-control.

The aim of the paper is to show the development and application of an electronic manual on linear programming for the organization of independent remote work of students. The electronic manual includes three blocks: motivational-target, subject and diagnostic-correctional. The motivational-target block of the electronic manual provides the student with the opportunity to plan their own educational activities. The subject block of the electronic contains lectures on the discipline combined in the form of HTML-texts and samples of problem solving, equipped with a navigation system and multimedia illustrations. The diagnostic and correctional block of the electronic manual, in accordance with the stages of the learning process, contains input, current and final testing and ensures the correction of learning outcomes by including students in self-control activities.

The manual allows to realize an individual trajectory of independent cognitive activity; monitoring of the student's educational activities on the basis of computer diagnostics and self-diagnostics; technology of independent work of students on the basis of structuring of educational material; the organization of cognitive activity of the student on the basis of interactive illustrations.

Statistical processing of the experimental data confirmed that the application of the developed manual on linear programming has a positive effect on the formation of students' cognitive independence.
